July is around the corner, and I am so excited to be coming back to Camp Riva-Lake. This will be my third stint as camp nurse; I guess I just can't stay away, and I feel so lucky to be part of such a fantastic organization. I'm counting down the days until I get to spend time with the campers, counselors and parents! I realize many of you may not have met me yet, but CRL and I go way back, to my days as a camper. And not only my time, but my mother, my sister, my own daughters and my great aunt, Sis Byrd, was director/part owner for many years. CRL is in my blood so to speak and I treasure being able to come back to camp. Plus I enjoy getting back to my roots as a nurse working with children. A good portion of my nursing career has been as a pediatric nurse, neonatal ICU nurse and school nurse. Now, I work as a consultant/educator to help improve systems of care across the continuum of healthcare. Being able to spend time with the campers is always fun and so rewarding. I can't wait to get back onto camp grounds!
