Questions!

We know you probably have several questions about the reunion weekend.  While some planning is still in motion, here are a few answers and the nitty-gritty!  For registration specifics look here.  Please let us know if you have other questions not included here.

Feel free to contact Georgia Fruechtenicht at camprivalake@gmail.com or 678-378-8974 with any questions.

This is your chance to:

  • Reconnect and laugh with old camp friends and sing your favorite camp songs.

  • Jump off the dock and swim to the point.

  • Listen to the cicadas and watch the sun set over Tims Ford Lake.

  • Make a friendship bracelet and roast a perfect marshmellow over a campfire.

  • Have a team meeting.

  • Play some tennis, shoot a bow and arrow, go for a canoe ride.

  • Learn about Camp Riva Lake's amazing history.

  • Experience a bit of camp life all these years later

What will we be doing at the reunion?

The reunion is an opportunity for those who attended Camp RIva Lake as a child, or who worked at Riva Lake to return to camp and enjoy a few days reconnecting with camp friends, soaking in the camp setting, and celebrating the 100 years of CRL history.  The weekend will provide a good balance of time to relax, to socialize, to eat, and to enjoy traditional camp activities.  We hope the reunion will strengthen the bonds of Camp Riva Lake for everyone that attends.

What is the daily schedule?

Morning and afternoon activities will include archery, canoeing, crafts, swimming, horseback riding, woodslore, basketball, yoga, and tennis.  A tennis tournament will be played thoughout the weekend.  All activities are optional.  Some campers will prefer unstructured activities such as walking around camp, talking to new and old friends, relaxing on the porch of the Rockhouse, or visiting the CRL Museum in the Playhouse.
