Greeting from Nurse Melissa

It's getting close! July is just a few turns of the calendar away. 2017 will be my 5th summer being your nurse at Camp Riva-Lake. I sometimes can't believe how lucky I am to be part of such a great organization. The friendships with campers, staff, and parents alike have been so powerful and revitalizing as a nurse. My day job is in a busy ER in Colorado, so coming to camp is an absolute breath of fresh air. Caring for and helping the girls of Riva-Lake is something that makes me feel proud. Spending time outside as a nurse is the best job I could possibly ask for!

My sweet rescue dog, Gertrude, will be traveling to Tennessee with me this summer. Gertie will spend most of her time down the road at my parent's house, but she will definitely come to camp to visit. Do you think she'll paddle board with me? With a doggie life jacket on, of course...
