Half my life has been dedicated to learning how to be “tender, brave, and strong” with my sisters. Riva-Lake has truly made me who I am today. It's getting close! July is just a few turns of the calendar away. 2017 will be my 5th summer being your nurse at Camp Riva-Lake. I sometimes can't believe how lucky I am to be part of such a great organization. The friendships with campers, staff, and parents alike have been so powerful and revitalizing as a nurse. Lessons from Camp
They say we learn something new every day. The older we get the more important it is to continue filling our brains with new information. It seems acronyms are taking over the world. In all of our various jobs and careers, we use acronyms that mean very little to the folks outside our "sphere of expertise." We learned a new one this week. SEL. Social-Emotional Learning. We know a lot of good things happen out there at camp in the summer, and we can't always put our fin
